Working

How decisions get made—and what we ignore.

The decision process

We prefer to know founders before a raise. Diligence is technical: people who have shipped and defended, often with a CISO in the room. You receive a partnership answer within two weeks, with the reason either way.

What we look for

  • A painful, budgeted problem with a buyer already engaged.
  • Technical depth that is difficult to copy—not a thin wrapper on another vendor’s API.
  • Evidence of pull: design partners or customers who would notice if you disappeared.
  • A credible path from wedge to system of record.

What we disregard

  • Vanity metrics without security-buyer signal.
  • Pitch theater. Lead with the insight.
  • Categories invented for the deck.
  • Process that confuses delay with thoroughness.

Capital

We lead or co-lead early, keep reserves, and stay involved. Check size follows the round and the opportunity—not a published rate card. If you need a partner who already knows the security buyer, contact us.
